About Hussain Sajwani

 

UAE national, Hussain Sajwani is a graduate of the University of Washington. Hussain began his career at GASCO, as a contract manager. He started his first business in catering in 1982 where he interacted with American soldiers.

 

In 1990’s, during the influx of traders and businesspeople in Dubai, Hussain invested in hotels to accommodate them. His investment expanded until he founded DAMAC properties. Currently, Hussain is the Chairman and CEO of DAMAC Properties.

 

The DAMAC Owner has also successfully invested in capital markets and global equity. Hussain started DICO Investment Company. The company focuses on investing in mergers, acquisitions, private investments as well as holding stocks in quoted companies.

In a Ramadan initiative launched by UAE prime minister, Hussain donated a cheque of AED two million to support clothing of 50,000 deprived children across the globe. The donation was to support improving people living standard by the Dubai government.
