About Hussain Sajwani


UAE national, Hussain Sajwani is a graduate of the University of Washington. Hussain began his career at GASCO, as a contract manager. He started his first business in catering in 1982 where he interacted with American soldiers.


In 1990’s, during the influx of traders and businesspeople in Dubai, Hussain invested in hotels to accommodate them. His investment expanded until he founded DAMAC properties. Currently, Hussain is the Chairman and CEO of DAMAC Properties.


The DAMAC Owner has also successfully invested in capital markets and global equity. Hussain started DICO Investment Company. The company focuses on investing in mergers, acquisitions, private investments as well as holding stocks in quoted companies.




DAMAC Properties is an engineering, construction, and architecture company that is based in Dubai, UAE. Founded in 2002, DAMAC is a public listed company develops residential, commercial and leisure properties. It operates in Dubai and regions of Middle East.


DAMAC Properties has managed to deliver over 16,800 homes with more than 44,000 units. The company boosts an excellent record in product delivery and around 2,000 employees.


As a stellar brand, DAMAC Properties has been able to attract the global most influential fashion and lifestyle brands. In 2013, the company teamed up with the current US president, Donald Trump to develop a golf course. Philanthropic Projects


Hussain Sajwani and DAMAC Group have been involved in humanitarian programs. In a Ramadan initiative launched by UAE prime minister, Hussain donated a cheque of AED two million to support clothing of 50,000 deprived children across the globe. The donation was to support improving people living standard by the Dubai government.
